Popular, familiar and well known, that’s red oak quartersawn tongue and groove plank flooring. When the supply of heart pine dwindled in the early 20’s due to over harvesting the market turned to oak. Then, oak was modern and so became the choice for new construction. Red oak lends warmer tones to the flooring pallette and takes wear and tear well. When oak is your favorite, just let us know what areas you’d like to cover and we can quote the material for your home or remodeling project.
